Biography
Terry Trumbull's has been an environmental attorney and policy maker since 1970. His work includes serving on the legal staff of the Department of Interior (1970) and managing the development of the nation's regulations for air and water pollution at the Environmental Protection Agency (1972-73) in Washington, D.C., as well as serving as full time Chair of the California Waste Management Board from 1979-84. From 1984-2007, as managing partner of The Trumbull Law Firm in Palo Alto, Trumbull was an environmental problem solver for than 200 California cities and clients, as well as private sector clients. In early 2003, Trumbull was appointed to the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO), the growth management agency for all government in the county. Previously, Trumbull was a member of the Santa Clara County Planning Commission for over ten years. In 1999, he was named California county planning commissioner of the year, and chaired the Commission in 1979-80 and 1998-99. Commission activities can be followed at www.sccplanning.org. Trumbull is also currently Chair of the Sierra Club's Committee that approves endorsements for elected offices in Northern California. The Loma Prieta chapter of the Sierra Club honored him in 1999 for lifetime achievement and 2012 as its outstanding political activist.

In 1994, the Pacific Industrial and Business Association (PIBA), www.piba.org, named Terry Trumbull as the Outstanding Contributor to Business in the Bay Area. Since its formation in 1994, Terry Trumbull has been the Endorsement Chair of the Santa Clara County chapter of the California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV), www.scclcv.org. The local CLCV endorses and supports non-partisan candidates and ballot measures.
